Funky Town

Congratulations on two awesome performances at the school concert. You all looked great and performed wonderfully.

Thanks to Lee for her fantastic costumes and to her daughter and my other helpers who applied face paint and dressed the children. The help was greatly appreciated.

Grandparents Day

On Friday the 13th we were very lucky to have lots of our wondeful grandparents spend the morning at school with us.
We began with a school assembly where some lucky people were given the ultimate bridge to sucess. After a cup of tea and some lovely baking the grandparents came and visited our classes. Some of our grandparents looked at our work and books, others made playdough models with us. Some grandparents even played target ball, hopscotch and elastics.
Before lunch the whole school went out to play house games on the field. We had so much fun.
We really enjoyed spending time showing our grandparents around and hope they enjoyed it too.

Discovery Fun

Today at Discovery we had lots of fun. Room 6 finished their scarecrows, we made huts with the sheets, built structures with the blocks and did lots of other interesting things.

We took lots of pictures on the two new cameras.

Target ball - Inquiry

This week we have set up some games of target ball on our wall space.
The games were lots of fun to play.
We got into groups and decided what the target should look like and where it should go.
What do you think?????

Discovery time

We spent an action packed morning learning new things. We made chipaties, (rice bread), bread rolls and hairy heads. The hairy heads were lots of fun. We made them out of stockings, cotton wool and grass seed.
We can't wait till they grow and we can give them hair cuts!
